Relationships, Missions, Discipleship
At Brookside Church, we’re all about RELATIONSHIPS, MISSIONS, and DISCIPLESHIP — or as we like to say, RMD. Our heart is to see people grow in their relationship with Jesus, live out their faith through serving others, and walk together as disciples who make disciples.

No matter your background, story, or season of life, you’ll find a place to belong here. We are community-focused and mission-minded, passionate about loving people both inside and outside our walls.
Everything we believe and teach points back to Scripture—book, chapter, and verse. We are committed to building our lives on God’s Word and living it out in real and practical ways every day.
At Brookside, you’re not just attending worship—you’re joining a shared purpose to know Jesus and make Him known.
Our History
Our church was established in 1944 on the corner of 36th and Peoria, right in the heart of the Brookside area of Tulsa. For nearly 80 years, that corner served as a place of worship, community, and faith for generations of families.
Over the years, the church was led by 15 pastors, each leaving their mark on its story. In 2018, under the leadership of Pastor Danny Stockstill and Pastor Brandon McCombs, God began leading us in a new direction. It became clear that He was calling our church to be more relevant to our community—a church positioned not only to share hope spiritually, but to meet real, physical needs in practical ways.
As part of that season of discernment, we transitioned from our original name, Brookside Baptist Church, to simply Brookside Church. This change reflected our heart to emphasize relationships over labels—focusing on a growing, personal relationship with God and with one another.
In 2021, following prayer and obedience, God led us to sell our longtime property on Peoria and relocate to our current home at Harvard and Skelly. While our address changed, our mission did not.
Today, Brookside Church remains rooted in what matters most: relationships, missions, and discipleship. We honor our past with gratitude and step into the future with faith, trusting God to continue writing the story.
What We Believe
We believe the Holy Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, which, when properly interpreted through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, is the sole authority for faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13.
We believe that Personal Salvation is by the grace of God through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9.
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience that takes place at the time of salvation and is not separate from salvation. John 14:16, 26; 15:26-27; 16:7-11; Romans 8:1-14.
We believe in the Priesthood of the Believer through our High Priest who is Jesus Christ. Hebrews 4:14-16
We believe that Baptism is for Believers and is properly carried out by immersion. Matthew 3:13-17; 28:19-20.
We believe that the church is a local, autonomous body of baptized Believers ministering under the lordship of Christ through a democratic process. Acts 24:41-47.
We believe in evangelism, and it is our responsibility and privilege to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible. Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; John 20:21-23, Acts 1:8.
We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society; as we believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in a covenant before God. Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:25
